We are looking for a full-time and permanent Accounting Assistant to join our team in Flin Flon/Thompson/The Pas.

We’ll support your development as an accountant every step of the way, providing you with the real-life experience you need to become an accredited CPA or expert accounting technician. Whilst classrooms and accounting theory are important, the collective experience made available to junior staff through our existing staff will take you to the next level, mentoring you at every stage on a wide variety of projects.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assist with bookkeeping and basic accounting tasks
- Assist with audit engagements under direction of other staff
- Support the team in preparing financial statements and tax filings
- Learn to use industry-standard software and tools
- Work directly with clients and help maintain strong relationships
- Gain experience in a variety of accounting and business services
The successful candidate will have:
- A willingness to learn and grow in the accounting field
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts (or a desire to learn)
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Interest in a mix of on-the-job training and formal learning opportunities
- A positive attitude and ability to work well with others
